(Cert III in Captive Animals)
(Cert IV in Veterinary Nursing)

Rachael started at Port Macquarie Veterinary Hospital in January 2021 after completing her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing in 2019. A local girl from Kempsey, she has dreamed of working in the animal care industry all her life.

Rachael has been working towards that goal since finishing high school. Rachael completed a Certificate III in Animal Studies and a Certificate III in Captive Animals before starting her nursing course. Her experiences include work at a boarding kennels and completing work placement at Taronga’s Western Plains Zoo in Dubbo.

Rachael loves working at Port Vets. She loves that she gets to connect with clients and their animals and build relationships with the wonderful team she works with. She loves saying a hello to the pets that come see us and helping make their time in the clinic as comfortable as possible. She is still building confidence in her career but loves the wide variety that each day can bring.

In her free time, she likes to read, relax listening to music, and spend time with friends, family and their family dogs, Rory and Frankie.
